Erwin Boer has been involved with the Delft Haptics Lab from the start: he is the founder of the ‘Magic Bumper’ project, the international collaboration between Nissan and universities in USA, Canada and TU Delft, on which David Abbink and Mark Mulder did their PhD projects.
He is founder and director of Entropy Control Inc, and part-time associate professor at UCSD and Leeds University.
He was appointed for 0.2 fte at the Delft Haptics Lab between 2013-2016, helping with supervising MSc students, teaching, writing grants and securing industry funding. In 2017 he received a tenured position for 0.2 fte with the Cognitive Robotics Department.
